For over 28 years, ZAPZ has been building technology, innovating across industries, and shaping the future of robotics, mobility, AI hardware, VR, and 5G. This is our story.

1998 — Our First Tech Partnership

ZAPZ entered the tech world partnering with Spinner, becoming the first company sponsored by AOL Music. We also worked with Nullsoft, creators of Winamp.

1999 — Connectix QuickCam

We began working with Connectix QuickCam under Apple Macintosh computers — later acquired by Logitech.

2010 — VR Innovation Begins

Opened our first VR location in Hurlock, MD. This marked the beginning of our long journey in virtual reality.

2012 — Oculus & HTC Vive

Partnered with Oculus Quest and HTC Vive for mobile VR, expanding our reach into immersive technology.

2013 — Global Tech Research

Began traveling to China to study robotics, hardware, and emerging technologies — continuing annually.

2015 — Mobile VR Expansion

Started working with mobile VR headsets, bringing VR experiences to families and communitiesin. (2017 Orlando, FL)

2017 — Orlando VR & First AI Software

Opened our second VR location in Orlando, FL and launched our first AI-powered software system.

2019 — 5G Development

Worked with 5G technology in China and South Korea. When 5G hit the U.S. in 2020, ZAPZ was the only software team able to update and reprogram AT&T 5G phones.

2021 — Robotics Development Begins

Started building our versions of the AlphaDog robot and the humanoid robot.

2023 — CANINEZ Robot Dog

Launched our first robot dog, CANINEZ, marking ZAPZ’s entry into enterprise robotics.

2024 — Humanoid Robot Launch

Released our first humanoid robot, expanding ZAPZ into full-scale robotics engineering.

2026 — The First Tech-Based Hardware & Software Company
